Identifying Problems With Eavestroughing

Sagging eavestroughs can be caused by improper installation, rotting wood, or physical damage to the eaves itself. This can prevent water from draining properly, and is potentially a source of water damage to the structure of the house.

Pin-hole leaks can often be found on the seams of an eavestrough. If your installer did not provide seamless eaves, the joints between the sections can often leak.  Pin-hole leaks can also be caused by physical damage to the trough itself, and just like a sagging eaves, it can cause water to drain where it isn't supposed to and become a potential source of structural damage to your home.

Improper installation
